UNDERLINED PASSAGES ALBUM RELEASE W/ GUACK & WEEKEND LESBIANS
FRIDAY, 12/6 @ 8P
Landfill Indie, Underlined Passages' fifth full-length, is a bit of a sleeper protest record. Reacting to the fickle dismissiveness of modern indie rock audiences and the relegation of contemporary alternative music to a million subcategories and enclaves, songwriter Michael Nestor offers eight songs in Landfill Indie that play like an eclectic late-90s mixtape.
Guack is a NJ-based alternative punk band and was started as an experimental math rock duo by Frank Latona (vocals, guitar) and Ian Moran (bass guitar, vocals). After releasing a 2012 two-track avant-garde demo on Bandcamp, the band was put on hiatus for about a decade.
Rekindling the GUACK project in 2022, the band broadened their sound and reach, undergoing lineup and musical style changes in the process. In 2024, longtime collaborators Joe Reiner (guitar, backup vocals) and Dave Sotomayor (drums, tracking/mixing/mastering) were recruited to fill out GUACK’s ranks.
The band has recently wrapped up their GUACK BOI SUMMER TOUR and are excited to release more music Fall ‘24. A new era for GUACK they have dubbed GUACKtoberFest.

THE EXTENSIONS | STRANGE NEIGHBORS
FRIDAY, 12/13 @ 8P (5TH FLOOR)
THE EXTENSIONS are a New Jersey-based indie rock band with lyrics sharper than a box cutter and hooks as sweet as grape soda. Their new EP "Gravitas" will be available everywhere December 20 via Mint 400 Records.
STRANGE NEIGHBORS is a power pop outfit from New York City. Their music is jangly, hooky, and bound to get stuck in your head. Aidan sings. Dana plays bass. Beau drums. Zach plays guitar. They all write the songs, combining disparate elements from all corners of pop music with the common goal of a finely-crafted earworm. The group released their first album, How to Human, in 2019, followed by a series of singles collected on the Illuminasti (2020) and Party of None (2023) EPs. They released "Quiet Beat," a cover of an unreleased Doug Hopkins song, in September 2023. They released the long-awaited single "Tell All Your Friends," followed by "Crush" in July of 2024. In November 2025, the band joined the Mint 400 Records roster.

More about Matthew: Matthew Daher is a drummer/composer/producer based in Detroit. The Wisdom to Know the Difference is Daher’s electroacoustic solo project exploring the limits and possibilities of control and agency on both a sonic and spiritual level. Using Ableton Live, contact mic drum triggers, and samplers, Daher processes acoustic drums and vocals, blends them with lush textures, and triggers other sonic events from the drumkit at varying degrees of randomness. Song-structured webs of intended and unintended sonic consequences emerge in compositions that explore grief, ancestral communion, astrology, social anxiety, archetypal parts of self, and other themes related to mental health and healing. Daher has performed the project in over 20 cities across the eastern US and Canada, including performances at the Detroit Institute of Arts and the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit.

Elucidate is a Ambient Post Hardcore concoction hailing from Newark, NJ and was formed in the summer of 2019. The quartet, Mars, Gabriel Cote, Becks Cristo, and Chis Ochoa went on to record their first 3 singles, “Sleepless”, “Pull Me Under”, and “blurry”. During quarantine, Elucidate used that time to find a fresh new sound for the band that was fed by every member's genre influences such as Nu Metal, Shoegaze, and Grunge while still incorporating aspects of their old songs.
Your Shape Undone is an Alternative Rock band from Northern New Jersey. Formed in 2021 by guitarist Dylan Sutton and bassist George Shammas, the two soon teamed up with vocalist Deanne Valentine and drummer Andy Perez to complete the lineup. The band has been developing their own sound that draws inspiration from alternative rock, emo, post hardcore, and prog-rock. They have taken their music across the east coast, developing a fan base through their dynamic and animated live performances.
Silvie's Okay is years-in-the-making but freshly-formed (summer 2023) Western Mass queer indie - sometimes devastating, sometimes sexually charged - always sincere. Brought together to fuel the fires of front person Vince Thompson's passionate work, the band’s delivery lands somewhere between achey folk, pop country and indie rock. Silvie’s first EP, 'Grit and Bare it', was released April 25th, 2024
LIVIA is ambient pop artist based in New Jersey. Taking influences from contemporary and classical music. Livia’s music is emotional, ethereal, somber, it’s music that goes deeper and touches your soul.

PILLOWINDE: 🏳️⚧️" new brunswick NJ "🏳️⚧️ pretty, noisy, yearny, heavy, pop
FUNERAL DOORS: Queercore from the slutty shore.
THE FOES OF FERN: Telegraph Hill Record's The Foes of Fern are a band of non-stop fun and gritty gracefulness; a troupe of eclectic musicians from New Jersey setting the record straight, left, right, and upside down.
Marrying drums, bass, guitar, tuba, ukulele, sax, trumpet, trombone and other wandering minstrels, the Foes carve out a segment in the music industry like a voluminous, awesome boulder. Their music is hypnotic and gang-busting in every sense, initiating you as part of the tribe upon first down-beat. A wall of sound thriving through each new moment on stage, feeling like the spontaneity of Hendrix while maintaining the rehearsed specialties in parts and orchestration reminiscent of the Beatles.
Live shows with the Foes are a multi-instrumental face-melt sandwich. Your Fitbit is going to be off the charts from all the bopping, skanking, and singing along to this truly electric construct of sound. The Foes are the good time you can see coming from a mile away.
SATURDAY, 6/1 @ 8p

SUN JUNKIES: Non-notable hobby band // Industry plants
HOLZLI: The new favorite band coming from the Jersey music scene is HOLZLI (pronounced holes-lee). Originally a duo, the band formed in 2018 when Daniel Robinson (vocals/guitar) met Tommy Vodka (vocals/bass) while attending Rutgers University. In 2022 Sal Carollo (drums) joined to complete the lineup and transform the group into a power trio. The band draws influences from a wide range of genres, pulling from classic rock stars such as Jimi Hendrix and David Bowie, alternative heavy hitters like Soundgarden, Incubus, and St. Vincent, and R&B legend Bill Withers to name a few.
FRIDAY, 5/24 @ 8P
THE ROYAL ARCTIC INSTITUTE: The Royal Arctic Institute is an instrumental, post-punk, cinematic jazz quintet. Members John Leon (guitar), and Lyle Hysen (drums) combine 50+ years of experience (Das Damen, Roky Erickson’s backing band, & more). The quintet is rounded out by David Motamed (bass), Lynn Wright (guitar), and Carl Baggaley (keyboard). The group self-describe their music as “post-everything."
FLUX IN A CONSTANT STATE: (No) Nü Age improvisations//bast(u)rd brainchild of Matt Hurley.
JIMROSCH: He comes out of Westfield secure in the knowledge that his songs are valid, profound, melodic, entertaining and of substance. His musical fluidity comes from his trio but also from somewhere down deep…with literate narratives delivered in a guitar-centric universe where Tom Verlaine and Al Green vie for supremacy within his soul. This is adult fare. “Leave The Light On” is about parenting. “Hauling” captures the feel of the long-distance trucker. He admits he’s “not broken, just broke” in “Raise The Dead.” Serious singer-songwriter devotees would do themselves a favor by meeting jimrosch, otherwise known as Jim Scheiner.
